The Loyalty Cottage Studio
Loyalty Cottage is a design studio and print workshop producing hand-printed textiles. It is a place for exploration in craft, making and design by using both traditional practices and digital techniques to produce contemporary screen printed fabrics.
We are passionate about the interplay between colour and pattern using dyes, fabrics and the craft of making handmade products; from a drawn image, silkscreen production, mixing dyes, printing to stitching and finishing, creating unique and individual pieces, which reflect a commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
The print workshop strives to source materials that are durable and will not harm the environment. We believe in sustainability; that our products should be enjoyed and treasured.

The Process
Artwork is originated from hand-drawn imagery and developed and translated onto silk-screen.
We do everything in-house which allows an overview and time to explore the process, enjoy serendipitous discoveries and the effect of combining colour, pattern and texture.
The printing process
The printing technique is vital to the appearance of our product with the interaction of colour, pattern and fabric. Hand-printing allows for further design development using the application of hand mixed water-based pigment dyes, over-printing and stencilling onto a texture of carefully sourced fabrics.
Our products are crafted using natural and eco-friendly materials.
Textile products using natural fabrics
We are currently building our product line of hand-printed fabric lengths and accessories, such as tea towels, napkins, cushions and bags.
